Form VI Geography Field Trip

Form VI travelled to the Isle of Purbeck to participate in their Geography field trip.

After a relaxing afternoon tour of Corfe Castle and dinner back at Leeson House, the group spent the evening in the classroom preparing for the river study the next day. This involved lots of data collection along the West Corfe River and gave some a chance to don waders and get chest deep into the river itself. The following day involved investigating erosion on Studland Heath, before a walk to view the magnificent Old Harry Rocks and some time to relax with an ice cream in Swanage. On the last morning we walked to Dancing Ledge and were told stories about the history and geography of the area.

The children behaved fantastically, the weather was amazing and the location was beautiful. All in all, a great trip!

My thanks go to Mr Vaan and our Gap student, Bree for helping, Leeson House for looking after us and Form VI for showing off the School so positively.
