Poetry Week

Our Poetry Week, which coincided with National Poetry Day on Thursday, saw poets and poems everywhere!

Inspirational poet, Coral Rumble, returned to Ashfold and delighted the children with her recitals and workshops. We read and discussed poems in class and you may have even noticed our poetry flag, flying in honour all week.

The week culminated with the House Poetry Recital Competition, judged this year by Rachael Austen, Head of English at The Dragon School. Well done to all the children who had clearly worked hard to learn their poems and congratulations to our impressive finalists!
