Boarding - Week 7
Welcome back all. I do hope everyone had a restful half term break.
It has certainly been a quiet week on the Boarding Wing this week with the Sixth Form doing their Common Entrance exams.
On Monday night, our golfers took a trip back to the driving range while members of the Archery Club continued to impress coach, Ian, with their ever-improving accuracy and the 5-a-side footballers came away very rosy-cheeked. All our boarders slept well that night!
Tuesday’s .22 shooters enjoyed the opportunity to have extra time at the range while Summer Splashers continued to enjoy the freedom of the swimming pool – a tad too cold for my liking.
Warhammer/Model Club had Mr Medwin thinking about making a model himself next term (oops, did I just give away one of next term’s activities before the cloak and dagger that is Hustings?).
Mrs Quinton and Mr Frise had a great time making chocolate brownies on Wednesday and I think the children enjoyed it too!
On Thursday we had the pleasure of Tilly and Amelie for their taster boarding evening. Both had a great night in Pottery Club working with Fimo. Very impressive models from all.
I would like to congratulate the Sixth Form on finishing their exams and hope they have a wonderful time in the Brecons . Be good, be safe and enjoy!
I would also like to wish everyone else the best of luck in their school exams next week.
Have a great weekend all.
