Pre-Prep I exploring the Senses

This term we’ve been making the most of our beautiful school grounds with lots of sensory walks. The children have enjoyed observing the seasonal changes while listening to the sounds of nature and smelling the plants.

They have also been exploring different textures and sounds (which has involved making lots of noise, both loud and quiet)!

One of the highlights has been a visit by Ashfold parent, Dr Anna Taylor, who is an ophthalmologist. The children were delighted to welcome ‘Dr Anna’ who showed the children a model of an eye and explained how our brain and eyes work together. They tried on lots of different glasses, had great fun using magnifying glasses and even had a chance to see things in 3D!

Thank you Dr Anna for a wonderful visit!
