Pre-Prep III Toys Day
Pre-Prep III were delighted to welcome History Off the Page to start their topic on Toys.
In the morning, the children enjoyed the opportunity to play with different toys from the past. They then became archaeologists, digging for parts of toys to establish what materials they were made from and how old they might be. In the afternoon, the children became toy makers, creating their own toys to play with, including a cup and ball game, a peg doll, a pirate ship and a variety of moving games.
The children had a wonderful day and enjoyed the different experiences:
‘My favourite toy was the spinning top’ Amelie
‘I liked making the fishing game’ Isabelle
‘I enjoyed making the pecking bird’ Jago
