School Counsellor
The Post
Ashfold School is seeking a part-time counsellor to begin at their earliest convenience. The successful candidate will be self-employed and not part of the school staff, therefore in a position to offer neutral, impartial support to all members of the school community.
Experienced in ‘person-centred counselling’ with children, they will be able to provide a listening and supportive, confidential service to staff and pupils, yet naturally feed into pastoral and safeguarding conversations where necessary.
The School
Ashfold is an established co-educational Preparatory School for around 300 children aged 3 - 13+ set in a beautiful Jacobean mansion with its own thirty acre estate in the heart of the Buckinghamshire countryside just twenty minutes from Oxford, Thame and Aylesbury.
Ashfold offers an excellent all-round education and a wealth of opportunities to excel both in the classroom and beyond. We encourage and celebrate participation in sport and the arts, including art and design technology, drama and music as well as a wide variety of extra-curricular activities enabling every child to develop their individual strengths, talents and interests and discover new ones. We aim to give every child the firmest possible grounding in the core academic subjects, within a small caring family community where children both know each other and all of the staff.
