Pre-Prep II visit Waddesdon Manor
Pre-Prep II enjoyed a lovely day, in beautiful sunshine, at Waddesdon. And with the Manor closed to the public, they had the grounds all to themselves!
The children met the Education Team for a Garden Explorers workshop and learnt about life cycles of plants and insects. Working in groups, the children arranged eggs, larvae, cocoons and insects and presented their discoveries to each other. They listened to the story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar and made a seed baby to hang around their neck and take home.
The children visited the rose garden and smelt the roses, trying to decide which ones they loved the most. They went on a bug hunt and climbed up a wood bughouse and the surrounding logs. The day ended with a play in the ever-popular adventure playground!
