Honk!

After weeks of anticipation and many hours of rehearsals, children in Forms II and III performed their Junior Musical, ‘Honk!’

‘Honk!’ is a musical adaptation of the Hans Christian Andersen story, The Ugly Duckling. Set in the countryside, the musical features Ugly, a cygnet, who is mistaken as an ugly duckling on falling into his mother's nest. He is rejected by everyone except Ida (his mother), a sly tomcat who only befriends him out of hunger, and several other barnyard characters.

Our young thespians did a wonderful job of learning their lines and songs as well as putting together their own choreography!

It was fantastic to have the opportunity to stage the production outside in the Walled Garden with headsets and a live band, as well as lots of splendid costumes made by Mrs Lewis.

There’s only one thing left to say ... HONK!
