Form II Trip to Ashmolean Museum

Form II visited the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford to learn more about their Humanities topic of Beliefs and Practices, specifically focusing on Islam.

The children looked at a set of 48 tiles from a 16th century building in Damascus and were able to use cross-curricular links to analyse the tiles and other artefacts. They looked at the geometry of the tiles and used their art skills to sketch and draw some of their own tiles. A selection of their drawings can be viewed below.
