Transition Trip to College Lake Nature Reserve
Blessed with glorious weather, Transition got outdoors exploring on a trip to College Lake Nature Reserve, near Tring.
They enjoyed a sensory walk with lots of activities to wake up their senses, a nature detectives session where they searched for signs of animals living in the woods, and a spot of pond dipping.
The children behaved beautifully. The centre staff were very impressed with their scientific knowledge and didn't want them to leave!
Here’s what the children had to say about their day out:
“I loved exploring in the woods finding insects, slimies, footprints and skulls.” Skye
“It was fun picking the flowers and putting them in the little cup. My potion made me strong!” Harry
“It was fun catching the dragonfly nymphs and great diving beetle and watching them all.” Edward
