Form V visit the Globe Theatre and Tate Modern
Form V travelled to London to visit the Globe Theatre and Tate Modern.
At the Globe, the children looked on as the actors rehearsed The Winter's Tale. They then attended a workshop with a professional actor and focused on delivering the lines from the balcony scene in Romeo and Juliet.
After an al fresco lunch, they moved on to the Tate Modern where each floor focuses on a major art movement or theme, exploring its origin and how contemporary artists have responded to it. The children toured the two floors of Modern Art and saw iconic artworks by Pablo Picasso, Mark Rothko, Henri Matisse, Bridget Riley and Andy Warhol, as well as installations and photographs.
