"Pupils' personal development is excellent. They are confident and caring, and demonstrate high levels of self-esteem"

- ISI Inspection Report 2015

Our leadership programme is designed to help children learn the skills and develop the qualities that will enable them to take on positions of responsibility and leadership, both at Ashfold and beyond.

Our aim is to encourage children to work with and inspire others, and give them the confidence to develop their skills and try new things.

At Ashfold children have the chance to contribute to the school community by taking on many different roles and responsibilities. In Form IV (Year 6), children are given formal leadership training with the Headmaster and other staff during the Autumn Term. Following this training, a team of children is chosen to represent the School at the annual Prep Schools Leadership Challenge at Cheltenham College.

After Common Entrance examinations, Form VI (Year 8) spend a week in the Brecon Beacons on an outward-bound expedition. The children work in teams throughout the week with each child leading their team for a day.
