Do you want to be part of a friendly, dynamic and energetic team that aims to prepare and produce food for pupils and staff at a vibrant Independent School? If you do, Ashfold School in Dorton village may be the place for your new employment venture. We are looking to appoint a Cook as soon as possible to join a dedicated team that produces and delivers a high-quality catering service for the pupils, staff and wider needs of the school.

The successful candidate will have basic numeracy and literacy skills and may possess a City and Guilds 7061 and 7062 qualification in Food Preparation and Catering or an equivalent NVQ Level 2 although this is not essential. They will have experience of food preparation, production and service and be able to work as part of a dedicates and efficient team. With good communication skills and a positive attitude, they will be able to develop good relations with staff, pupils and the wider school community.

Ashfold is an established co-educational Preparatory School for around 280 children aged 3 - 13+ set in a beautiful Jacobean mansion with its own thirty acre estate in the heart of the Buckinghamshire countryside just twenty minutes from Oxford, Thame and Aylesbury.

The school has expanded significantly over the last fifteen years and invested heavily in its infrastructure and support systems. We aim to give every child the firmest possible grounding in the core academic subjects, within a small caring family community where children both know each other and all of the staff.
