The Post

We are looking to appoint, by 1 September 2018 or sooner, a Facilities and Estates Technician to assist in the day to day maintenance, upkeep and refurbishment of the Ashfold School estate and premises. The role will include ensuring the School provides a safe, secure and stimulating environment for pupils, staff and visitors. 

The successful candidate will have GCSE (or equivalent) grades in A-C in English and Maths and ideally, should have an understanding of basic maintenance work. They should be familiar with IT packages such as Word and Excel and be able to develop good relations with staff, pupils and the wider community. 

The School

Ashfold is an established co-educational Preparatory School for around 280 children ages 3 - 13+ set in a beautiful Jacobean mansion with its own thirty acre estate in the heart of the Buckinghamshire countryside just twenty minutes from Oxford, Thame and Aylesbury. 

The school has expanded significancy over the last fifteen years and invested heavily in its infrastructure and support systems. We aim to give every child the firmest possible grounding in the core academic subjects, within a small caring family community where children both know each other and all of the staff.
