SCHOOL FIRST AID ADMINISTRATOR

Approx 20 hours per week | Term-time | Permanent

Core hours required are 11.00am – 3.00pm daily, but there is flexibility for additional hours

The Post

Ashfold School are seeking to appoint a First Aid Administrator to assist in the Surgery to contribute to the supervision and care of the pupils with regards to health, welfare, pastoral care and general wellbeing. The successful candidate will work with the Surgery Team to provide first aid support and medical support to the pupils who fall ill whilst at School. A qualification in First Aid is desirable and the candidate will have demonstrable experience of working in this field. Knowledge/experience of supporting diabetic pupils is also desirable.  

The candidate will be willing to undertake the relevant regular first aid training to maintain standards of care and help deliver an outstanding first aid service. From treating minor bumps and bruises to being present on the sidelines at sports matches, their first response skills will be relied upon to ensure our children receive the best care available. 

The successful candidate will naturally possess excellent communication, administrative and organisational skills and will be able to foster positive relationships with the children, staff and the wider School community. Friendly, compassionate and discrete, they will be a dynamic and pivotal member of the team that care for the wider pastoral needs of our children.

The School

Ashfold is a leading independent prep school for approximately 300 boys and girls aged 3-13 years. The School is set in a beautiful Jacobean mansion with its own thirty acre estate on the edge of the village of Dorton in the Buckinghamshire countryside, close to Thame, Oxford, Bicester and Aylesbury.

Alongside an excellent all-round education, we pride ourselves in offering children a wealth of opportunities to participate in sports, the arts, drama and music as well as a wide variety of extra-curricular activities. The school week runs from Monday – Friday and we offer optional boarding up to four nights a week, as well as a rich and varied extra-curricular programme.
