The Post

Feeling like you’re stuck in a rut? Bored of the same old daily routine? Then look no further, Ashfold School may be the place for you. If you have effective DIY/technical skills, a can-do attitude and a friendly manner, then we need you to join our facilities team and deliver a customer focussed, high-quality maintenance and caretaking service. We can guarantee that no two days will be the same so if you like what you hear so far, don your utility belt, pick up your paint brushes in one hand, screwdriver in the other, and join the team that keeps Ashfold School’s building and services up and running. OH…and if you dream of the shortest commute in a beautiful setting with the added benefit of reducing your carbon footprint, this role is definitely for you. Residing in free on-site accommodation in exchange for some site security and “first on scene” call-outs, you’ll be home in no time after each day’s work; either with feet up or enjoying the beautiful grounds of Ashfold School, perhaps your dream is just an application away?

Still interested? All we ask, in addition to you being a dedicated and approachable person, is that you have sound numeracy and literacy skills, experience in basic maintenance work and that you can work both independently and as part of a team. If this is you, please apply to join the Ashfold family that cares for each and every pupil and member of staff.

The School

Ashfold is an established co-educational Preparatory School for around 280 children aged 3 - 13+ set in a beautiful Jacobean mansion with its own thirty acre estate in the heart of the Buckinghamshire countryside just twenty minutes from Oxford, Thame and Aylesbury.

The school has expanded significantly over the last fifteen years and invested heavily in its infrastructure and support systems. We aim to give every child the firmest possible grounding in the core academic subjects, within a small caring family community where children both know each other and all of the staff.

Application closing date:      9am on Wednesday 19 August 2020.

We reserve the right to close the application process earlier if we receive a sufficient number of suitable applications from candidates.

Interviews:                           To be arranged soon after

Ashfold is committed to the protections and safety of its children and the successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check. We welcome applications regardless of age, gender, ethnicity or religion. Charity Number 272663.
