The Post

Ashfold School are looking to appoint an EYFS/Key Stage 1 Teacher on a one-year fixed term contract starting in September 2020.  The successful candidate will be genuinely passionate about children and their education and will work as part of a dynamic team of experienced teachers and assistants. Enthusiastic and inspirational, they will be able to nurture the children’s development through their innovative and exciting teaching practice. Whether befriending Gruffaloes, Swashbuckling Pirates or finding “Wockets in Pockets”, the successful candidate will be able to encourage the children to explore, and question, the world around them and to learn from their stimulating environment.

Kind, caring and approachable, the successful candidate will naturally possess excellent communication, administrative and organisational skills, and be able to foster positive relationships with the children, staff and the wider school community. As an energetic member of staff, they will be expected to get involved with the broader aspects of this busy, vibrant Prep School.

The School

Ashfold is an established co-educational Preparatory School for around 280 children aged 3 - 13, set in a beautiful Jacobean mansion with its own thirty-acre estate in the heart of the Buckinghamshire countryside just thirty minutes from Oxford.

The school has expanded significantly over the last fifteen years and invested heavily in its infrastructure and support systems. We aim to give every child the firmest possible grounding in the core academic subjects, within a small caring family community where children know both each other and all of the staff.

We reserve the right to close the application process earlier if we receive a sufficient number of suitable applications from candidates.
