FACILITIES AND ESTATES MANAGER

Permanent | Full Time | 40 Hours per week | 52 weeks per year.

The Post

Ashfold School are looking to appoint a Facilities and Estates Manager to join a dynamic operational team. Starting in November 2019, or as soon as possible thereafter, the Facilities and Estates Manager will have responsibility for the day-to-day security, maintenance and upkeep of the school’s buildings, grounds, plant and machinery. They will oversee all aspects of building and facilities management to provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment for pupils, staff and visitors.

Working to the Bursar, the successful candidate will have relevant experience in facilities, estates and project management alongside recent experience of managing a diverse team. They will naturally possess accomplished numeracy skills and a flair for accuracy and attention to detail. With an ability to understand and interpret legislation and statutory requirements, they will ensure the School remains legally compliant with statutory Health and Safety regulations, inspections and maintenance schedules. Possessing excellent communication and effective IT capabilities, they will be able to develop good relations with the staff, pupils and wider school community.

 The School

Ashfold is an established co-educational Preparatory School for around 280 children aged 3 - 13+ set in a beautiful Jacobean mansion with its own thirty acre estate in the heart of the Buckinghamshire countryside just twenty minutes from Oxford, Thame and Aylesbury.

The school has expanded significantly over the last fifteen years and invested heavily in its infrastructure and support systems. We aim to give every child the firmest possible grounding in the core academic subjects, within a small caring family community where children both know each other and all of the staff.
