The Post

We are looking to appoint a Wardrobe Assistant for October 2019, or as soon as possible thereafter, to source, store and manage the costumes stocks required for school productions and activities.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with school staff to provide costumes for school productions, assemblies and other activities. Possessing a flair for costume appreciation, design and creation, they will manage and adapt existing wardrobe stocks and, produce additional costumes to meet the needs of the school. The successful candidate will have outstanding sewing/tailoring skills coupled with a creative imagination. Friendly, approachable and possessing effective communication and organisational skills, they will also be able to foster good relations with staff, pupils and the wider school community.

The School

Ashfold is an established co-educational Preparatory School for around 280 children aged 3 - 13+ set in a beautiful Jacobean mansion with its own thirty acre estate in the heart of the Buckinghamshire countryside just twenty minutes from Oxford, Thame and Aylesbury.

The school has expanded significantly over the last fifteen years and invested heavily in its infrastructure and support systems. We aim to give every child the firmest possible grounding in the core academic subjects, within a small caring family community where children both know each other and all of the staff.
