Time to Compete...

Each afternoon Ashfold children pour onto the sports fields where excellent coaching concentrates on teaching skills, teamwork and sportsmanship to every child, not just to the team players.

Boys play matches in rugby, football, hockey and cricket; girls in hockey, netball and rounder. Girls and boys also receive coaching in tennis, athletics and swimming, with some opting for ballet and dance.

School matches at U9, U11 and 1st team level as well as house matches, ensure that there are ample opportunities for all to compete and to play representative sport.

For many children it is the sports fields which provide the avenue through which they gain recognition amongst their peers and so develop their self-confidence.
