In both the Pre Preparatory (rising 3 - 6 years) and Junior (rising 7 - 9 years) departments, Form Teachers are responsible for the majority of teaching.

Subject specialist teaching is gradually introduced until in the Senior department (rising 10 - 13 years) children are taught entirely by individual subject specialists.Giving children access from the earliest days to dedicated subject specialist facilities enables them to experiment and learn in the most stimulating surroundings.

Every three weeks children’s work is reviewed for effort and attainment, credits are awarded and a report prepared for parents by a child’s tutor.

The majority of children are prepared for Common Entrance examinations to senior independent schools and a number for the County’s grammar schools; each year the most talented are prepared for Scholarships.
